Should you find your pet in an emergency situation after our regular business hours, the Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VEC) of Toronto provides service from two convenient locations.

The main hospital, known as the "VEC South" (416-920-2002), is located in the heart of downtown Toronto at 920 Yonge St. (The entrance is actually located immediately west of Yonge on McMurrich, north of Davenport and south of Belmont) The clinic provides emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

The "VEC North" (416-226-3663) located at 280 Sheppard Ave. East (1/2 way between Yonge and Bayview on the north side of Sheppard), is easily accessible from highway 401 and operates weeknights from 7:00 pm to 8:00 am for emergency services only, as well as providing 24-hour service on weekends and holidays.

Both locations offer state-of-the-art veterinary medical facilities, prepared to manage very complex emergency situations. During all hours of operation at least one emergency clinician and veterinary technician are onsite.

Onsite parking is available at each clinic, as well both are well-situated on subway lines offering easy access via the TTC.
